With the holidays just around the corner, it's the perfect time to try out some new festive recipes. Treat your guests or yourself to this creamy, sweet, nutty matcha latte. It's simple to make so you can enjoy it daily or on a special day.
Serves: 2
Ingredients:
2 tsp matcha powder
1 ½ cups hot water
1/2 cup whole milk or plant-based milk
1-2 tsp maple syrup
1 tsp ground cinnamon to garnish
1 tsp grated nutmeg to garnish
Instructions:
- Place matcha powder in a flat bottomed bowl. Using a matcha whisk, gently swirl.
- Pour in hot water and whisk until smooth and foamy. Once ready, add maple syrup, mix and pour into serving mugs.
- Froth milk in a milk frother (or warm milk in a saucepan). Pour milk over matcha. Garnish with warm festive spices and serve.
